Training Philosophy

  • Set the right goals

It all begins with goals - both long term and short term.
The quality of initial goal setting will make or break your final trajectory.
In-depth discussions about your personal goals, where you want to be in 3 months time and 1 years time will form the foundations of your time with me.
Goals will be revisited frequently and new goals made as we consistently smash through PRs.

  • Integration

A good plan means nothing if it can’t be integrated into your current lifestyle.

Being consistently good beats being occasionally great - Every. Single. Time.

Although some sacrifices will have to be made to reach your goals, I’ll ensure you still have time for the other things you value in life - whether it be socials, family or other hobbies/interests.

  • Mindset & attitude

I’m not interested in a quick fix - period,

I want you to immerse yourself into a lifelong journey of personal growth and development.
There will be no ‘quick fix’.

Just rigorous practices based on the most recent research and a huge emphasis on education.
This will ensure you are self-sustainable and can keep yourself accountable long into the future.

  • Strength Training

I place a huge emphasis on fundamentals,
Good form is encompassed by many factors - full range of motion (ROM) and controlled tempo to name just a few things.

I’ll ensure you adopt good habits and nail the basics, meaning you’ll have a strong foundation to build on - week in, week out.

Each week’s programming will be carefully created to optimise recovery and challenge your body to grow and adapt.

  • To cardio or not to cardio?

Whether you’re looking to lose weight, get stronger or build general fitness - there is a place for cardio in almost everyone’s program.

As time has gone on, I have taken a deep-dive approach into ‘hybrid training’ - the practice of gaining strength AND endurance.

At the end of the day the heart is the most important muscle and is directly linked with health and longevity.

Ultimately, your program is specific to you but I would strongly encourage you consider having a cardio component to it!

  • Diet & Nutrition

Arguably THE most important factor in any body transformation.

Need to lose weight? Dial in on diet.
Need to gain muscle? Dial in on diet.

Throughout the whole process, I’ll be modifying and adjusting your macronutrient targets (calories, protein and fats) to ensure you are smashing your goals for each training cycle - whether its a strength block, fat loss block or hypertrophy (muscle gain) block.

I’ll show you that you NEVER have to be overly restrictive and help you develop healthy eating habits that you can take forwards with you long term.

9 times out of 10, the things we have been putting off are the things that will help us reach our goals.
As you set new goals, you’ll feel a new sense of motivation and desire. Don’t settle for anything less - push yourself out of your comfort zone and experience levels of growth you’ve never experienced before.
